Biography
Erik Reichenbach, a true SURVIVOR junkie, was too young to be in the first 14 seasons of Survivor. Reichenbach religiously studied the game from the comfort of his home, until he was of age to audition. Determined to play the game, Erik practiced his survival skills last summer off a small island in Florida.
Reichenbach was born and raised in Pinckney, Michigan. He is currently in his senior year of studying art at Eastern Michigan University, and is a member of the college's track team. Reichenbach works at an ice cream parlor called "Screams" in Hell, Michigan, where he also designs t-shirts, hauls canoes and entertains his customers. He previously worked in landscaping, construction and as a freelance graphic designer. His hobbies include drawing, writing comic books, rock-climbing and studying philosophy/religion. He describes himself as animated, earnest and familiar. He is very proud of his running accomplishments during his senior year of high school, where he set the school's 400 yard record (49.3 seconds), and being able to run in the Nike Outdoor Nationals in Carolina. Reichenbach is a member of the Eastern Michigan Cross Country and Track team, Pinckney Pirate Track and Field Alumni and a rock climbing club.
Reichenbach believes he'll go far on SURVIVOR because he is a good listener, entertaining, optimistic, athletic, a creative thinker and can easily be a leader or a follower.
Reichenbach is currently single and lives in Ypsilanti, Michigan, with his cats, Furrball and Kittyfizzle (K-Fizz for short). His birth date is November 27, 1985.

I had a hard time sleeping the night Erik was voted off. He was blind-sighted in the worst way: being guilted into self-sacrifice. He was only guilty of one thing: being a loyal fan. At least, he got to prove to his idols that he was a powerful force, which is something that most people don't get to do. I know people say that you have to lie and backstab to make it in this game, but Erik didn't resort to that and he made it pretty far. I'm glad he didn't stoop to the level of those girls and kept his sincerity. Otherwise, I wouldn't watch the show. Where's the fun in watching Survivor when you have no one to root for?

Even though Erik will go down as one of the Dumbest Survivors Ever that doesn't mean that next season someone won't come along and steal his crown. I mean, you've gotta give the guy props. He's famous now. He has fans. He could is even now a survivor favourite for some people. (Me for example: I love him - he is really one of my faves!) You really shouldn't hate someone due to one lapse in judgement. He was bamboozled! Yes, he probably should have seen it comming but some of the Survivor greats of this season where caught off gaurd and when they could have saved themselves they didn't. I also don't think that he is the "worst player ever". He got pretty far, taking fifth place in a game where many people in America wouldn't even be able to last three. In America its all McDonalds all the time. People eat more food a day than they should and they never try to spend time in the elements. Camping isn't heard of much anymore. And for him to willingly volunteer to go out and starve and freeze for the chance to see what he could be like is a brave step. He outlasted some of the best survivors. He was an amazing player. It all just came down to a lapse in judgement. I absolutely adore Erik. I love him so much, he is my favorite surviver despite of how his game came to an end. I wanted him to win. I think he deserved to take it all. You know, you can hate him all you want because everyone has their own opinions about people as they are. I like his funny personality - though you might find it annoying. But saying he is the worst player just because he was blind-sided and trusted the wrong people at the wrong time doesn't mean he was a bad player - he played the game well and to his fullest capability.

The boy is hilarious,,,,from naming the tribe to his statement about going from an ice cream boy to an ice cream man, c'mon, he's obviously an intelligent kid, he just got mesmerized by devious lesbian boobs.

Erik, it took me this whole season to figure out that I have seen you at Screams in Hell. My neice lives in Pinckney and graduated 2 years ago from the high school. I read now that you are attending Eastern which is a stones throw from my home town. I think you are a very nice young man and you will go far in life. You have a simply honesty about you that is very refreshing in this day and age.

Read a few of the recent postings regarding people compelled to make hateful comments about Erik and then reflect on your own intelligence, self-esteem, and mental stability. In your case, the size of your type amplifies your ignorance. Grow up. ?

Beautiful and intelligent analysis! You touch on important points and you're also insightful and compassionate. Eric is young, unassuming, kind to a fault, and has yet to get out in the world. Consequently, he's gullible. He'll grow from this and we have not seen the last of him. What astounds me is the amount and intensity of hateful comments about him on the message boards here. Almost scary, mostly from guys. The one a couple pages back that inspired a few responses is mean to the point of being sick. And this guy even posts his websites on his bio? What's up with this? He comes off as a much bigger fool than Erik did, and certainly less likeable. I hope that this all leads Erik to better things and I think it will. He got exposure, left with grace, "made history" on Survivor, and may just be offered a "nice guy" part somewhere. Those losers dishing nasty dirt on him now may be envying him down the line. Use some imagination, people. ?????
